About us

Dondersteen began after a long airplane journey with two toddlers from Porto, Portugal, to Houston, USA, after a trip to visit Oma and Opa. The true idea of Dondersteen was sparked from Oma who gave each of our toddlers a little laptop bag full of toys that they could travel home with. These "busy bags" were designed to keep them entertained during the 16-hour daytime flight home.

Though no journey with toddlers is entirely tantrum-free, these busy bags proved to be a lifesaver, with our children enjoying their toys. We immediately recognized the tremendous value of these busy bags, Dondersteen was created to help all parents traveling with their little ones.
